Billing

The following fees are all set by your doctor and any adjustments are at their discretion. For fee enquiries, please ask your doctor during your consultation or enquire with reception who can provide this information on your doctor’s behalf.

The doctors we support at Elermore Vale Medical Centre privately bill their patients and payment is required at the time of your consultation. Their common fees are listed in the Fee Schedule below. The following updated fee schedule will be applied from 01/07/2024.

Patients under 16 years old may be bulk billed for any consultation which attracts the triple incentive payment from Medicare, but your doctor may will charge a concession/ discounted rate for some consultations which do not attract the incentive payment from Medicare (e.g. GP mental health care plan, procedures etc).

For patients aged 16 to 70 years old with Health Care Card or Pension Card, your doctor may charge at a concession/discounted rate for all consultations.

For patients aged over 70 years old with Health Care Card or Pension card, your doctor may bulk bill for all consultations.

For patients aged over 70 years old without Health Care Card or Pension Card, your doctor may charge at the concession/discounted rate for all consultations.

Additionally, the doctors we support are committed to bulk billing Health Assessments and Care Plans for their patients registered with MyMedicare and will attempt to bulk bill these services when they can.

For your convenience, our receptionists can process your Medicare rebate efficiently into your nominated bank account once payment to your doctor for your consultation is made.

Please ensure you have registered your nominated bank account with Medicare. Your current Medicare card will need to present at each visit.

New Fees from 01/07/2024

The fee for Ear syringes for All patients except pensioners/ HCC holders will be the same as the standard consultation ($92 with Medicare Rebate of $42.85 and out of pocket cost of $49.15).

The fee for ear syringes for all pensioners, HCC holders and over 70 years will be the same as the standard consultation ($72 with Medicare Rebate of $42.85 and out of pocket cost of $29.15).

Non-Attendance Fee

A nonattendance fee of $40 (GST inclusive) may apply if a patient cancels within two hours of their appointment or fails to attend. This non-attendance fee will be at your doctor’s discretion.

Saturday appointments are charged full fee and the doctors we support will not bulk bill or offer discounted rates for their patients including children, pension/ health care card holder or DVA card holders.

There may be slight variations to the fees after 1pm but the out-of-pocket cost will be the same for the patients.

We do not provide the facilities and services to your doctor to perform any procedures on Saturday including child immunization, ear syringe or wound dressing. Please ask your doctor during your consultation if you have any concerns.

1. For an extensive list of your doctor’s item numbers, please enquire at reception.

2. There are some consultations with your doctor which are not covered by Medicare such as Sports Medicals (Combat Sports/ Boxing/ Motor racing), Commercial Licence Medicals. These consultations may be charged privately as per discretion of your doctor based on the time spent and complexity of the consultation.

3. Your doctor’s consultation fees for CTP and Work Cover insurance will be charged to you directly until the approval/ acceptance letter has already been issued by the insurer.

4. The following consultations may bulk-billed, please discuss this with your doctor during your consultation:

  • Childhood Immunisations
  • GP Management Plans
  • 45 – 49 year old health assessment
  • Over 75 year old health assessment
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Assessment
  • Humanitarian entrants (such as Refugees, Special Humanitarian Program, Protection Program entrants) health assessment
  • Intellectually Disabled person health assessment
  • Home Medication Reviews
